We, Elizabeth and Maria, are a mother-daughter team. Our business was founded in 2002 when we began importing handmade and hand-painted ceramics from the Hatziyiannis family in Patras, Greece. Over the years our collection has expanded to include ceramic handicrafts from solo artists, families, and workshops all over Greece. Just a few examples of locations we have imported from include Athens, Crete, Kythira, Mytillini, Samos, Skyros, and Zakynthos.
Alongside ceramics, we also offer linens and other gifts from Greece including table runners, aprons, kitchen towels, pillow covers, tote bags, church boxes, woodcrafts, martakia (March bracelets), magnets, and original art prints. Our collection also features a line of goats milk soaps and lotions handmade by a Greek American family in California.
Since 2020, we have been able to partner with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Ionian Village camping ministry to organize two fundraisers for the program. Athens-based artist and iconographer Katerina Kourteli has painted hundreds of beechwood spinning tops and Easter eggs for our fundraiser items. Just a few beechwood tops, painted with the beloved St. Iakovos Chapel, are still available in our shop (all proceeds benefit the camp).
