Houston Greek Film Festival

The Houston Greek Film Festival (HGFF) – in its 5th year – showcases new films from Greek and Cypriot filmmakers, producers, and actors from Greece, Cyprus and the diaspora. Featuring both feature-length and shorts, the HGFF aims to promote Greek cinema to Houston and all of Texas and the Southwest!

Opening its doors in 2018, the HGFF has hosted all of the major Greek/Cypriot-produced, Greek-based films that make the current wave of popular and renowned Greek films so pertinent to the international film industry. In addition to this, the HGFF has proudly brought its patrons all the Oscar-nominated Greek films since inception.

In honor of Texas’s Lone Star, the HGFF “Asteri” Awards are awarded to Juror and People’s selections for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film and Best Documentary film at the end of the festival weekend.
